IndiaLends conducted a survey among young Indians across 6 major cities covering 5200 respondents to evaluate their loan requirements. Unlike the previous generation, which was prudent in spending, young Indians do not believe in just making ends meet, leisure has become an essential component of their lifestyles. Survey clearly indicates a sharp rise in loans, it also shows that young Indians are spending maximum on things they are keen about. Surprisingly loan to find marriage came topped the list at 20% respondents, followed by education(18%), travel(15%) and startup(14%).
